Sedona Hiking Tours With History And Petroglyphs.

Meet Jesse Stalo, Your Sedona Hiking Guide

Jesse Stalo is the local guide behind Sacred Sedona Excursions, offering guided hiking and site exploration experiences in Sedona, Arizona. His connection to the area developed through his previous work with the Forest Service as a trail maintenance worker, where he had opportunities to explore remote areas and discover ruins, petroglyphs, historical sites, and other features that were not always widely known or mapped. These experiences sparked a deeper interest in Sedona's history and cultural heritage and inspired Jesse to share lesser-known locations with visitors.

Local Knowledge And Guided Sedona Experiences

Jesse brings firsthand experience exploring the Sedona and Beaver Creek area, with a particular interest in its Native American history, archaeology, ancient ruins, rock formations, and historical structures. His Forest Service background provides valuable experience in outdoor environments and helps shape the way he approaches guided exploration. Rather than focusing only on typical sightseeing stops, Jesse introduces guests to locations such as historic irrigation canals, Sacred Mountain, and the Crane Petroglyph Site while providing historical and cultural context along the way. His tours are designed for guests who want to learn more about the landscape while exploring it with a knowledgeable local guide.

Explore Sedona Beyond The Typical Tourist Stops

What sets Jesse's guided experiences apart is his interest in the stories and historical features found throughout the area. His previous work allowed him to discover remote locations and develop an appreciation for sites that may not receive the same attention as Sedona's better-known attractions. Guests can learn about Native American history, archaeology, geology, erosion features, petroglyphs, and ancient ruins while enjoying opportunities to take photos and ask questions. Family-friendly outings, photography excursions, history-focused tours, educational experiences, and customized private group experiences may also be available.
